Our annual Yet-Y-Rhug Charity Open Day has grown in popularity since our first event in 2007.
Around 1500 visitors viewed our horses in their stables at close quarters - and saw them working on the gallops, and parading in our show-ring. Entry was £5, children and parking free of charge. All proceeds go to our nominated charities. This year these are The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Father Heart Ministries, and local churches. Early estimates indicate donations totalling around £18,000 will be made as a result of our Open Day.

This is a chance to see 'behind the scenes’ at our stables, and for you, our guests, to meet our pride and joy: our string of over 60 racehorses, many of them already winners!
We always look forward to meeting personally as many of you as possible and all our team will be happy to answer your questions about the horses, and how we train them for the racecourse. |
Over the last three years, with wonderful support from you, our visitors, and all the people who have helped us, we’ve distributed almost £40,000 to our good causes. Many thanks for your generosity.
We’d especially like to thank TV presenter Richard Pitman who did a great job this year at short notice, and Luke Harvey and Emily Jones, who have done such a professional job presenting the day's events, and our thanks also to the jockeys who come on a day off racing, to ride work on our gallops, and to “talk the talk’ in our show ring! |

Our thanks to all our owners, sponsors, advertisers, the local volunteers, and, of course, our hard-working staff without whose help we simply could not stage what has become a unique and happy day in our calendar.
